A: Ruby redish brown. Crystal clear with awesome highlites from light refracting thru it. Minor head has diminished to a wispy memory.
S: The smell is so pungent its almost intimidating. MASSIVE amounts of cherries on the nose. Brings on thoughts of cherry pie & chocolate cordials. Bit of oak and bittersweet chocolate. In a blind taste test, I'm not sure you'd know what type of beverage this was.
T: Intense cherry flavor! Lots of sweet and tangy cherries all over the tongue all the way thru the swallow. Aftertaste finally lends to a touch of chocolate and roasted bitter malts lurking in the background. This beer is REALLY hard to describe. New Glarus's use of cherries is one of a kind.
M: Smooth and silky with out much of a hint of carbonation. A prickly beer with this pungent cherry taste would have ruined this beer.
D: This beer blows me away every time. I've never tasted anything like it and absolutely love it. Phenomenal IMO.
