Appears dark brown with a tan head.
It smells of tart cherries, roasted malts, chocolate and vanilla. It smells quite sour and strongly of cherries.
It tastes initially and strongly of tart cherries. There is a vanilla and wine like oak flavor. I also get a small amount of roasted malt, though this does not have the body I associate with a stout. It is great but it tastes like a dar4k cherry beer not a stout.
There is a thin and light mouthfeel.
Overall a great tart cherry beer though it is a bit lighter than most stouts. I love the string natural cherry flavor of the beer though.
