Pours a cloudy gold with a beautiful creamy two finger head that doesn't let up much.
Smell is centered around clove although lemons and a hint of banana follow.
Lemon is the first thing I notice in the palate and is prevalent throughout. A little bit of bubblegum and pepper make their way in and it finishes heavily spicy from clove.
Mouthfeel is spot on. A bit creamy and the higher than normal ABV for a Hefe helps.
Very good beer, but pales in comparison to the Live Oak I had last week. I prefer less clove in my Hefes and this one is centered around clove. That said, it's not way out of balance and the lemon flavors do a pretty good job of balancing out the spice. Will definitely seek this out again.
