split w/ hu5om (and plan on drinking many more before summer's end).
A: amazing sizzling pour, thick foamy head while a wheat gold in color with excessive champagne-like carbonation.
S: yeasty at the outset, with faint hints of lemon zest.
T: wow. subtle in its all-around flavors of malts, wheat, and spices. very well-rounded taste with no overbearing flavors.
MF/D: a bubbly sizzle initially, simmers for a smooth swallow. fantastic mouthfeel and one of New Glarus' best beers. will certainly consider buying a case before summer's end. thank god i live in wisconsin. this is definitely Weihenstephaner's sugar-daddy... oh yeah, the 7.2% abv is not noticeable so watch out when using as a session beer.... haha.
