12oz bottle poured into an oversized tulip (no chalice on hand).
A - Very pale straw color with good clarity from a careful pour. Giant pillowy white head holds very well. No lacing.
S - Mild smell. There is a brush of base malt and a mild twang of wheat. Woody a tad with no hints of acidity.
T - Right up front a solid sourness hits and hangs on for the ride. As it mellows out later on there are remnants of some base malt. Says it is brewed with riesling grapes and that might add to a slight citric feel to the sourness. Dry finish works well with the carbonation.
M - Light body, medium carbonation, dry.
O - Beautiful looking Berliner Weiss. Big white head hangs on longer than expected. Smell was deceiving by holding back that acidity before unraveling it big in the taste. A very fun brew to kickoff my summer.
