A: Light straw yellow. Almost transparent. 2 finger thick head that's very fluffy.

Smell: White wine huge up front, very clean. Pleasant, sweet, some hops but more like daisy floral notes.

Taste: A snap of tart up front. White wine again, pleasant. Some clean (non-sugary) sweetness. Neat and organized. Even some 7-up lemon lime notes. Incredibly refreshing.

Mouthfeel: Light and airy-perfect for the style. Good carbonation. Wonderful and very complementary of the tart and light style.

Overall: Incredibly refreshing beer. Tart up front, wonderfully balanced, white wine notes, fantastic mouth feel. Extremely impressed with this. Even my mother and wife who are non craft beer enthusiast loved this beer.

12oz bottle poured into teku glass.

A: Pours clear straw yellow with large white head.

S: Pretty faint overall. Tartness, grass and grain.

T: Also pretty mild. Tastes good, mainly it's sour apple. There is slight yeasty, graininess as well. Wish it packed a bit more punch.

M: Light body, moderate carbonation. Refreshing.

O: A very easy drinker. Wish it had a bit more intensity, but overall a positive drinking experience.

Appearance: pale straw yellow color. about a finger of a white head that fades slowly and leaves a sticky lacing on the sides. just a slight haze to it but still able to see through.

Smell: lacto bacteria. faint green apple skins. some wheat. fairly dull and not as fruity as I'd like

Taste: opens up with lacto tartness that opens up into a juicy green apple bite. backend is full of wheat.

Mouthfeel: light, refreshing with a tart twang at the end. I think the carbonation is a little low too

Overall: I think this beer has mellowed just a bit since its been bottled. the smell is a little on the weak end and the taste isn't quite as tart and fruity as i'd like. Glad I got to try it and I wish i got to it sooner but still a good berliner.

Poured into a New Belgium goblet. Bottleneck says 1093 so it's a little over a year old.

A- Pours a slightly hazy medium golden color with a 1/2 inch white head that retains very well before slowly fading to a thin ring around the edge of the glass and a large center patch of surface foam. Semi-resilient lacing leaves a thick ring behind.

S- Smells like your classic Berliner with a semi-tart wheat aroma that makes the tongue salivate.

T- Mildly tart flavor brings notes of peach, melon and apple but all very low-key. Wheat is also mild and the tartness makes the palate crave more sips.

M- Slightly dry with a restrained tartness. Medium carbonation and a light body.

O- A nice refreshing Berliner with subtle flavors and a well-controlled tartness. The only thing that might make it better is a bit more carbonation. Would be interested in trying a fresher bottle.
