Pour is dark amber with a pinkish hue and a tight white head. Nose is huge cranberry with a strong sawdust oakiness in back and notes of vanilla. Taste is tart cranberry and lots of oaky goodness. Notes of vanilla in back with an assertive carbonation on a medium body with a very soft palate.

poured 12oz bottle in a teku. Bottled July 2011.
A - It is a orangish apple juice color with a 1 finger white head. It fades into oblivion and leaves behind a few marks of lacing.
S - This smells like the apple ale, but with added cranberry juice. Other tart fruit aromas and maybe the slightest hint of vanilla.
T - Good amounts of sweet apple are present. Tart cranberry/cherry notes fill in the middle. There is also a nice light malt and vanilla annotation to compliment the other flavors.
M - Light bodied and fully carbonated, just like Dan always does with the fruit beer.
O - What can I say? This beer is fantastic and Dan needs to brew it again since it is getting close to 4 years since it was last around.
