A: Pours a exceptionally clear, honey-hued orange/golden, with a lively 1.5" slightly off-white coloured head. The many-sized bubbles in the head make for a lack of retention.

S: Rich, clean malt, twangy scent, light lemon. As it warms up, it gets a bit more bready and dough-like. Dash of pepper.

T: Slighty spicy hops, mild pale/2-row malt sweetness, with a bit of sourness. Maybe a bit of caramel malt. Finishes dry, but with a bit of malt flavour that lingers on the tongue. A bit herbal as well (could be from the honey or the hops). Very clean. More doughy/biscuity malt flavour emerges after it warms, some corn.

M: Light-to-medium body, with an interesting "creaminess" to it. Medium carbonation.

D: I can see the reason that this won't be rated very high--it isn't boisterous with enormous flavours, it is subtle and very easy to drink--Not something I am likely to pick up again, but a nice sessionable beer from New Glarus.

Crystal-clear golden color with a stiff white head that sticks around.

I'm getting very little aroma. A bit sweet, but what kind of sweet? Can't tell. It's an anonymous sweet.

In the mouth it's a sweet, grassy hay or grain or something along those lines, bright, tart, but sickeningly sweet. It's like having too much kielbasa, without any vingery balancing, like horse radish.

Quite smooth on the palate. The lilting carbonation and medium body combine for serious creaminess.

Definitely a quality beer, operating in beer zombie land, where flavor is muted by govt. decree. Some bitterness would make this amazing

12 oz. bottle poured into Pilsner glass

Outstanding golden color and well carbonated. White head vanished quickly. Some lacing.

Grainy/Cereal aromas. A bit of sweetness - must be the honey - on the nose too.

Light to medium body, and very smooth - but not syrupy.

Fresh, bready, lager yeast and some pleasant grainy notes. Wee bit of hops, and the honey is present, but not overly sweet.

This is a very nice, light, bock, and the ABV makes it a good session beer. On those cold winter nights, this is sweet bock to drink. Pun intended.

Fairly sweet, honey aroma to it. Inoffensive. Smells like many lagers except a bit sweeter.

The taste is certainly smooth, if not perhaps particularly interesting. A good gateway beer for sure. Has a sweet, honey initial taste to it....not overbearing, not too malty....but pleasant. A good amount of graininess in the middle. Finishes fairly clean with minimal hops present....a bit grainy, nothing more.

All in all, it's a good quaffer.
