Ok, so this beer tastes like honey water. Before I review further, I just wanted to note this.

A: Golden yellow with 3 finger head. Lots of lacing everywhere.

S: Honey + your typical european lager aroma.

T: Maybe I am biased but I like honey water (when I am sick, etc. Nostalgia? or whatever). I am giving this 4. It tastes like lager with lots of honey in it.

M: It must be the honey making this beer seem more syrupy.

O: I like honey. If you don't, you won't like this beer.

Poured from bottle to pint. Head is thick and color is golden.
Odor is sweet and malty. Overall pretty light.
Taste is sweet biscuit at first. Ends with a little bitterness and some grain. Prefer the beginning rather than the ending.
Mouth feel is light and carbonated. Light on the tongue with not much really hanging around.
Overall a pretty good beer.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of Matt Simpson. Thanks, Matt!

Appearance: Pours out a yellow-hued body with good clarity and a foaming, fast evaporating, white head.

Smell: Some pale malts, a tad bready, with some pils malt, notes of lightly sweet-scented honey, herb, and modest underlying yeastiness.

Taste: Pils malts, a bit of graininess, and a medium degree of honeyed sweetness. Herbal hops, though light, as well as is the imparted bitterness. Hint of white grapeskins. Faintly yeasty. Drying, fairy clean finish where, though the overall carbonation is a bit light, there's a fast flash on tingliness as it closes out.

Mouthfeel: Falls somewhere just a bit shy of medium-bodied. Medium-low carbonation.

Overall: Solid little bock.

Served on tap at brewery

A - Clear brilliant golden with 1 finger white creamy head with good retention and moderate lacing.

S - Biscuit, lager sour yeast, grassy/floral hops, oak

T - The pale mates are the dominating flavor with a sour yeast, biscuit flavor and grassy hops notes.

M - Medium body, moderate carbonation smooth with a slightly bitter dry finish.

O - An okay refreshing beer but forgettable compared to many others at New Glarus.
