12 oz. bottled poured into a Goose Island Belgian style ale glass.
Not much head but a lovely crystal clear golden color. Head fades quickly with no lace leaving a thin ring.
Wonderful aroma of fruity hops and some floral notes with light biscuit malt.
Taste is not as fruit intensive as the smell. Sharp bitterness and dry. Refreshing and crisp. Hints of fruit and subtle malt sweetness balance the bitter finish.
Light crisp mouthfeel with light medium carbonation.
A top quality American pale ale from a remarkable Wisconsin brewery. Kudos to New Glarus master brewer Dan Carey.

Poured from a 375ml bottle into an extremely cold larger glass. It was consumed early evening last Sunday as the burgers cooked on the grill. This review is written three days later based on memory not notes.
Moon Man poured cloudy golden, I guess it is unfiltered, with a solid head that lasted for the entire drink. Although cloudy it almost seemed to sparkle in the early evening sunlight. It was calling - drink me, drink me ... so I did.
Wow, I have been looking for a Pale Ale this good since starting on my beer journey in the US 18 months ago.
The smell of aromatic citrus and bright flora burst from the glass.
This was followed by a full on assault of the taste buds. A pronounced citrus flavour of grapefruit, together with piney aromatics of the hops delivered a most refreshing and bright taste. As I was not drinking out of Riedel I could not split out a mid and back pallet taste.
The mouth feel was crisp and satisfying, exactly what I was looking for on a hot Sunday session.
My host explained that New Glarus beers are not available outside of Wisconsin and this is a real shame. I could easily drink Moon Man for the rest of summer ... if it was available in Kansas.
