Appearance: About 1/2" of ivory foam. Very clear light gold color with lots of bubbles. Just a slight bit of lacing.
Smell: Nice aroma of light citrus hops with a bit of spice in the background. Very floral as well.
Taste: Prominent grapefruit taste which was a surprise coming after the smell as I expected a lighter hops taste. A little astringent and dry. Some malt in the background but not quite enough to balance the hops.
Mouthfeel: Average mouthfeel with a dry finish.

Poured from a 375ml bottle into an extremely cold larger glass. It was consumed early evening last Sunday as the burgers cooked on the grill. This review is written three days later based on memory not notes.
Moon Man poured cloudy golden, I guess it is unfiltered, with a solid head that lasted for the entire drink. Although cloudy it almost seemed to sparkle in the early evening sunlight. It was calling - drink me, drink me ... so I did.
Wow, I have been looking for a Pale Ale this good since starting on my beer journey in the US 18 months ago.
The smell of aromatic citrus and bright flora burst from the glass.
This was followed by a full on assault of the taste buds. A pronounced citrus flavour of grapefruit, together with piney aromatics of the hops delivered a most refreshing and bright taste. As I was not drinking out of Riedel I could not split out a mid and back pallet taste.
The mouth feel was crisp and satisfying, exactly what I was looking for on a hot Sunday session.
My host explained that New Glarus beers are not available outside of Wisconsin and this is a real shame. I could easily drink Moon Man for the rest of summer ... if it was available in Kansas.
