You hold a session beer with a bright bold blend of five hops that flirt obligingly with the smooth malty backside. Don't let this one lay around it is brewed to be enjoyed today. Bold and engaging without pretense, because in Wisconsin you do not have to be extreme to be real.

12 oz. bottle into a tumbler.

A- Slight hazed burnt orange. Dense off white head. Nice lacing and great retention.

S- Citrus and pine aromas dominate the nose, but a sweet and grainy bread character linger in the background.

T- Light straw flavor, some bread, and some great pine and citrus.

M- Mild and smooth. Just barely a bitter finish. Less bitter than expected. The finish isn't dry and the bitterness doesn't hang around.

O- This is really good. Taste is great, the aroma is juicy and woodsy. Very nice, and once again not overly done. New Glarus can make some damn tasty, yet simple and mild beers.

12oz bottle from the mix-a-6 my in-laws drug back with them on their Wisconsin trip. Popped and poured into my small Sockeye tumbler.

A: Clear pale gold with decent head and lacing.

S: Starts to impress me right here; much more hoppy and juicy sweet than I expected...citrus and tropical fruits are apparent, with fainter suggestions of pine and herbal hops. Biscuit malt is more buried than I expected it to be, though it is identifiable. Nice nose.

T: More balanced here but still quite pleasant; pale maltiness is more apparent as it subdues the hop bitterness. Citrus, tropical fruit, suggestions of grapefruit and pine are all still here.

MF: Lighter refreshing body with appropriate carbonation.

O: Good! Surprised by this one, expected the hops to be more subdued. It's no IPA to be sure, but man this is a good balance of malt and hops, and the hops are definitely more about juicy and floral characteristics than pure bitterness. I'm impressed.

This is an incredibly drinkable beer. Pours a beautiful dark golden yellow with a huge amount of head the dissipates somewhat quickly. The lacing sticks very nicely to the glass. The smell is has a mild resiny, citrus hop note to it with plenty of malt. The taste and mouthfeel is fabulous. Light, well-carbonated, with great flavor, but not a "big" beer. Incredibly drinkable. Mild hops that are only barely bitter, citrusy, and a great mild malt backbone. The only problem I have with this beer is that I do not have more on this hot day.

Poured from 12oz bottle into a pint glass very light colored beer with a nice 2 finger head and tons of lacing , really nice looking brew

The smell is kinda blah , nothing bad there just not much there to smell

Crisp and light bodied beer with perfect carbonation light on the tounge

The taste is smooth and clean and very good , light pick up of the malt and the hops at the end

Overall I would love to see this in a can , would be a perfect beer to take camping , canoeing or to the beach
