Notes/Commercial Description:
You hold a session beer with a bright bold blend of five hops that flirt obligingly with the smooth malty backside. Don't let this one lay around it is brewed to be enjoyed today. Bold and engaging without pretense, because in Wisconsin you do not have to be extreme to be real.

12 oz bottle was poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: This beer poured a one finger head that reduced to a thin layer. It is a pale yellow color with great clarity and bubbles seen coming up through the glass.

Smell: Grapefruit, tangerine, orange rind, floral, caramel, bready malts, mango, and peaches. It smells great.

Taste: Tropical notes are more noticeable. Passion fruit, mango, peach, tangerine, and grapefruit followed by pale and bready malts. Lasting hop flavor and mild bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, medium carbonation, light to medium bodied, mild hop bitterness, and last citrus flavor. Very drinkable and enjoyable too.

Overall: Wow!!!! I really enjoyed this beer a lot. Looks like there is a trip to Wisconsin in the future.

Huge thanks to willseph for the bottle.

Appearance: Perfectly clear molten gold with some very slight orange hints at direct light. Head is bright-white and bubbly. Leave a small collar with wisps of cap. Splotchy lacing. Moderate carbonation on the pour. Damn near glows.

Smell: Small hint of citrus with some stone fruit. Peaches and mango. A touch of something floral. Pale malt. Very mild sweetness with some cracker.A vague sort of nuttiness in there as well. Light and mellow. Nicely balanced. Some general toastedish grains.

Taste: Raw grains with some fresh grass. Nicely floral with some backing citrus. A touch of almost pine bitterness. Mildly earthy with a soft nutty finish. Malts are light and slightly sweet, offering a nice compliment to the mellow hops. A bit of cracker and toasted biscuit. Mild fruity hints, something like apple skin.

Mouthfeel: Nicely dry mediumish body with a moderate carbonation. Drinks clean and slightly crisp.

Overall: I'm pretty sure Feist was singing about this beer.

A no frills American Pale Ale. Does what the bottle says and doesn't pull toward any type. It's a quality, drinkable, pale ale. I would expect nothing less from New Glarus.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a 14 oz "pint" glass. Pours semi translucent orange yellow with a white head. Smells of flowery and citrus hops, very sweet and very inviting. Tastes of earthy and citrus hops, with nice grain backbone. Beer is light/medium bodied with good carbonation very drinkable. Overall a very good beer.
