First off, the bottle shape and label are both very unique, and I love the presentation and concept behind this beer.
It pours a clear, light amber/darker hay color with yellow highlights and a white head. The head is full at first, and leaves a white lacing all the way down the glass.
The aroma is a careful blend of lightly kilned malt with some gentle lemon and grassy hop notes.
The taste is spot on - a truly delicious pilsner. Balanced and refreshing, sweet at first, and then finishes extremely clean. The carbonation is spritely, and contributes a nice crispness with the bitterinig hops.
I could drink bottles of this all summer long. This might be one of the best craft "lawnmower" beers I've ever had. It really doesn't get much better than this!

12 oz bottle poured into a New Glarus pilsner glass.
A - Completely clear dark golden yellow, almost amber-ish, Two Women has a dense white head with great retention, plateauing to a centered pile of foam that leaves lace shrouding the glass.
S - Opening with a touch of coarse grainy malt, Two Women mellows out to a slightly nutty, biscuit-like bready maltiness that's complimented by a gentle touch of Noble hop spiciness on the finish.
T - Crisp and clean bready malt flavor leads into a subtle Noble hop floral spiciness that finishes dry with hard mineral water.
M - Two Women has a smooth malty entry that immediately feels a little flat and lifeless from lack of carbonation before drying the palate out with a light mineral finish.
O - New Glarus' Two Women has a great story behind it, representing two craft beer companies run by women in a male-dominated industry but I think with all his talent, Dan could do a little better with this beer. Balanced hopping brings the tasty malts to a very clean and drinkable level but, I find the lack of carbonation to give the beer a somewhat slick and flat feel; it's not quite lively enough which would coincidentally reflect Deb's personality well!
