12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. No freshness dating.
A - Brilliant light amber beer. Good sized vanilla colored head. Left no lacing on the glass.
S - I can pick out the light pilsner malt and the nice blends of light toasty munich malts. The hops are spicy/earthy and I can also pick up a hint of cinnamon.
T - The flavor follows suit starting with beautiful munich malts that are never sweet on my palate. Mid-taste you will find the great noble hop flavors that never reach too high of bitterness. The hop flavor lasts a little bit after the finish pleasantly.
M - Semi-dry, lIght body. The carbonation is moderate. Clean throughout and has a crisp finish.
O - The munich malts in this beer reminded me much more of a German Oktoberfest. The color through me off a bit also. The cinnamon I perceive gives the beer complexity yet nowhere near stole the show. The beer tasted fantastic but I find it difficult categorizing the creative twists this offers. I scored the beer well because I recognize this beer is intentionally brewed out of style and I appreciate the craft exemplified.

12 oz bottle poured into a New Glarus pilsner glass.
A - Completely clear dark golden yellow, almost amber-ish, Two Women has a dense white head with great retention, plateauing to a centered pile of foam that leaves lace shrouding the glass.
S - Opening with a touch of coarse grainy malt, Two Women mellows out to a slightly nutty, biscuit-like bready maltiness that's complimented by a gentle touch of Noble hop spiciness on the finish.
T - Crisp and clean bready malt flavor leads into a subtle Noble hop floral spiciness that finishes dry with hard mineral water.
M - Two Women has a smooth malty entry that immediately feels a little flat and lifeless from lack of carbonation before drying the palate out with a light mineral finish.
O - New Glarus' Two Women has a great story behind it, representing two craft beer companies run by women in a male-dominated industry but I think with all his talent, Dan could do a little better with this beer. Balanced hopping brings the tasty malts to a very clean and drinkable level but, I find the lack of carbonation to give the beer a somewhat slick and flat feel; it's not quite lively enough which would coincidentally reflect Deb's personality well!
