A: Pored into a standard pint glass it was poured with about an inch of head on it, but it quickly receeded and left a light chunky egg shell colored foam around the edge and sides. The liquid a briliantly clear light copper color.
S: Strong spicey noble and earthy hops plume off the top with an underlying malty bready grainy malt aroma.
T: Flavor is on the malt side but the bitterness is noticable and distinct. There is a sweetness that is coming through in the form of a muffiny flavor. The hops come though in the end with the noble spicey flavor and leave the palet with a clean finish.
M: Very light body with low to moderate carbonation.
O: A crisp, clean, hoppy german lager. NG does the style well, but personally I like the sweetness to be a little more subdued. Its not over powering by any means, just a personal preference on the style being more balanced.

A: From bottle, poured a scrumptious copper with ample head.
S: Heaven. Biscuits, flour/flower, earth.
T: Smooth as hell. Light roasted grain with hay cut from the Wisconsin landscape. Noble hops.
M: Light body, moderate carbonation.
O: Absolutely delicious lager/pils. Such low community ratings for this beer confirms BA Rube bias against lagers as a genre.

12oz bottle, bottling date is 313th day of 2013. Poured into a New Glarus pilsner glass today, 2/15/2014. Finally I get around to reviewing this one.
App- Clear caramel body, nice 3-finger white head with great retention, lots of lacing. Very nice and darker for a lager.
Smell- Bready, a bit of lemon zest, grape skin some yeast spice. Lighter aromas that are strong in the sense that it is very pungent but not heavy in character. Nice noble hop character.
Flavour- Bread, caramel, toffee, yeast spice. Noble hops finish things off in a classic manner.
Mouthfeel- Medium bodied, heavier for a lager. Dangerously drinkable even for the style. Perfect carbonation. Aftertaste is an earthy toffee finish. Refreshing, crisp and not too dry.
Overall- Very nice year-round lager, nothing I didn't expect from New Glarus. It's a nice mix of Märzen and Czech Pilsner.
