12 oz. bottle into a Perfect Pint.
A: A creamy, thick white head tops a clear, bronze body with moderate carbonation. The head has fairly good retention, but gradually fades into a ring with a sizable patch on top and some light lacing.
S: Simple and subdued: straightforward caramel malt, followed by a bit of noble hopping, slightly lemony and floral. Perhaps not quite as awesome as the real German thing, but certainly on point.
T: Sweet, lagered, with the expected caramel malt, and perhaps a touch of grape and orange. Fine, zippy hops round it out. Again, straightforward but well executed. Not the most complicated thing around, but it's not supposed to be.
M: Just a bit thin feeling, but not bad. Carbonation is moderate. Alcohol is non-existent.
O: For around 9 bucks a sixer, this is hard to pass up. It passes strict German muster, tastes right, and tastes good.
