12 oz. bottle served in a New Glarus ale glass.
Appearance: A foamy head recedes to a ring with islands floating on the surface. Crystal clear pale lemony golden, completely uniform color from edge to edge. Above average lacing.
Smell: Light honey malt aroma with clean noble hops in the background.
Taste: Not dry like many pale lagers. Residual sweetness with slight honey. Crisp and clean. A nicely balanced beer with light hops that taste fresh with low bitterness. Slightly fruity flavor typical of New Glarus but well integrated and very pleasing in this pale lager.
Mouthfeel: Crisp and smooth. Light but not watery. Refreshing and smooth.
I could throw back a few of these on a spring day!

12 oz. bottle, with no apparent bottled on date present. My second beer from the New Glarus variety twelve pack, acquired from my mom on one of her recent trips to Wisconsin.
Poured into a Duvel tulip glass.
A - It pours a bright gold straw colored body with some nice clarity to it. About a finger and a half of sudsy white head. Leaves behind thin stringy lacing. Looks very nice for the style.
S - The smell is about average for the style - a no frills or gimmicks experience. Grainy, husky, wheaty, grassy. Simple, but true to the style.
T - Taste follows the nose - grainy, husky, corny, wheaty, grassy, lightly papery finish. Taste is on par with and would be easily accessible to fans of cheap adjunct lagers like Miller Light and Coors Light, except this beer is brewed much more purely and less artificial. A lightly hoppy sort of pith is noticeable. The quality of the ingredients used definitely shows.
M - The feel is crisp, clean, and smooth. Lightly grainy / husky / papery on the finish. Light-bodied with good carbonation.
Overall, a very true to style representation that would be easily accessible to fans of cheap macro lagers. Like the label says "simple unadorned flavor". A classic lager for sure.

Poured on tap into a "pint" glass. Pours straw with a nice fluffy head. Smells of sweet grain, a little wheat, slight fruitiness. Tastes of some grain, little wheat, but a bit watery. Beer is light bodied and very refreshing, decent carbonation. Overall, a pretty good beer.
