12oz bottle poured into a New Glarus 20th Anniversary Pilsner Glass.

The beer pours a clear, golden color, lots of bubbles rising to the top of the glass with a fluffy, white head, nearly 2 or 3 fingers high resting atop the beer that has good retention and leaves a great network of sticky lace behind. The aroma is very simple, light cereal grain and crisp noble hops with some hop spice. It's sweet, bright with a touch of earthiness, hard to complain for a 4.25% pale lager. The flavors are right on queue, sweet pale grain, lemony hops, hop spice and some earthiness as well. Light and refreshing to say the least. The body is nice, very crisp with lively carbonation, smooth, light body that has a soft finish.

Verdict: A nice pale lager from New Glarus. Light, refreshing and crisp. One of the more enjoyable summer beers and a perfect lawnmower beer.

12oz bottle appears a clear yellow with frothy white cap. 2 fingers fades leaving a spotty wall of lace on the glass. Rising bubbles maintain a finger across the top.

The smell is sweet and fresh with a biscuit and bready grain quality. Some soft herbal hop touch is also present to break things up.

The taste is sweet and grainy with a freshness contrasted by a very mild fruity alcohol and hop note. This is a fresh, clean and very easy drinking brew without fault.

This is a medium to lighter bodied brew with a modest level of carbonation. It is crisp and effortlessly drinkable. Not a brew or style with a lot of flair but for what it is, it is worth checking out.

A: Transparent, straw yellow color. Head is small and dissipates quickly

S: Subtle sweet malt

T: Sweet malt, not cloying at all

M: Light body with lively carbonation

O: An excellent helles style lager. I'll definitely buy more when I go back to Wisconsin.
