Notes/Commercial Description:
Pure and crisp this is a beer with nothing to hide. Wisconsin two-row barley malt ensures a mellow and smooth body. We imported Noble Hop varieties from Germany and the Czech Republic to ensure a fine mature aroma with no coarse bitterness.

12oz bottle poured into a New Glarus 20th Anniversary Pilsner Glass.

The beer pours a clear, golden color, lots of bubbles rising to the top of the glass with a fluffy, white head, nearly 2 or 3 fingers high resting atop the beer that has good retention and leaves a great network of sticky lace behind. The aroma is very simple, light cereal grain and crisp noble hops with some hop spice. It's sweet, bright with a touch of earthiness, hard to complain for a 4.25% pale lager. The flavors are right on queue, sweet pale grain, lemony hops, hop spice and some earthiness as well. Light and refreshing to say the least. The body is nice, very crisp with lively carbonation, smooth, light body that has a soft finish.

Verdict: A nice pale lager from New Glarus. Light, refreshing and crisp. One of the more enjoyable summer beers and a perfect lawnmower beer.

Pale golden with thin cream colored skim and slight lacing. Light malty aroma. Bread but no hops. Must dusting. Cookie dough sweet taste. Some herbs and grasses. Very clean. Straight forward and one dimensional, heck it’s almost only half a dimension. The only purpose of this beer is to throw it in a cooler, chill it to 35 degrees and slam a dozen or so on a hot day. It’s kind of boring and not really worth $6 for a six pack when held to considerably better alternatives.

Pours a brilliantly clear straw colored beer with a persistent white head made of rocky bubbles.

It has a grainy malt aroma with a moderate earth and spicy hops aromas.

A clear and straight forward lager with a moderately light malt body and a moderate hops bitterness. The balance is slightly bitter with a dry finish and quick bitter aftertaste.

A smooth, easy drinking lager with an awesome balance of flavors.

Totally naked is a pale golden lager really with nothing to hide. Not too much going on aroma or taste wise but it is extremely smooth and clean. I think I could funnel about four of these at one time. Not flashy, just a good beer without adjuncts.

12 oz bottle poured into a footed pilsner glass.

It pours a crystal clear pale straw with a pillowy white head. The head dies down to a small layer of bubbles in top, lacing is medium and nice tiny bubbles are constantly rising to the surface.

The aroma is very neutral. Some grainyness and sweet corn with a very crisp lager finish.

The flavor is more corn dominant. It has a nice mild sweetness but finishes very crisp like a very drinkable lager should.

To me this is a just a step up in flavor from the standard BMC. It doesn't have much flavor but what it has is a compliment to the beer. To me this beer is for those that want to drink or be seen drinking craft but think Spotted Cow has too much flavor.

The New Glarus Totally Naked pours from the bottle a crisp bright lemony golden yellow with a small bubbly white head that quickly dissapates. Aromas of sweet creamy pale malts upfront with a backing of spicy, grassy hops. Smells fresh and vibrant with a dash of yeast.

First sip brings a smooth, very light sweet pale maltiness. Subtle grain huskiness melds with a mellow spicy, herbal hoppiness that rides in the background. Notes of lemon zest throughout. Finishes extremely clean with just a smidge of lingering hop. A nice all-malt lager, no more and no less.

Mouthfeel is fairly light with a smooth carbonation that rushes across the palate. I'd like to see a bit more body here but it suits the style fairly well and makes for extremely easy drinking. A laid back beer that would do well in the hot summer months when I want to have a sixer on the beach...also would be a wonderful gateway beer for the macro crowd. I'd say this one is worth a shot!

12oz brown bottle with no freshness date.

Color: Clear pale yellow.

Smell: Clean pale malt, subtle herbal hopping that is very floral.

Taste & Mouthfeel: Lager goodness, big smoothness with in the lighter body. Fresh cut hay, cleat maltiness throughout. Level hop bitterness, delicate floral hop flavor. Grainy finish what lands semi-dry.

Overall: Hell Yeah! I could quaff this beer back any day ... any time. A simple lager beer that just shows off enough yet keeps it simple and very drinkable.

Poured into a Sam Adams perfect pint glass

Appearance: 3/4 inch head, high carbonation, straw yellow in color, clear

Smell: grass and grain

Taste: grass, grain, and sugar

Mouthfeel: super light body, sweet with a touch of bitterness, high carbonation

Overall: A new standard bearer for the style. Super light and refreshing minus adjunct. Very clean..I think this is what light lagers mean to be. Perfect hot weather beer. I would grab a six if I could find it locally.

Crystal clear golden color with a quickly dissipating white head, leaving no lacing. Smell is pretty faint, flowery and a touch of honey. Taste is of honey and corn, paired with the same soft flowery notes perceived in the smell. I don't think it could get much better for the style. Medium carbonation with light/medium body. Great to drink; a simple beer, but I enjoyed it.

Light gold in color. Moderate head of foam off of the pour. I smell...corn and a bit of a vinegar aroma. Not too enticing. The flavor is corn and a quick fade away. Drink this one cold for maximum enjoyment. The mouthfeel is pretty light, like drinking water.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a tall New Glarus Signature Pilsner Glass.

Appearance: Pours a clear pale golden yellow with a lot of rising bubbles. About three fingers of white head that slowly fade into a patchy layer. Leaves a good amount of lacing around the glass.

Smell: A grainy and malty pilsner like aroma. Pale malts and wheat grains with hints of biscuit, cracker, straw, yeast, and barley. Good hints of citrus lemon. Also hints of grass and European noble hops. A fairly simple and nice clean lager aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a simple clean and crisp lager taste. Wheat grains and barely malts mix with yeast and give a taste of biscuit, straw, cracker, and cereal grains. A nice taste of citrus lemon zest. Decent backing of Euro noble hops. Fairly earthy and grassy with a balanced sweetness. Simple but solid pils lager taste.

Mouthfeel: Fairly light bodied with a medium to high level of carbonation. Crisp, clean, and very smooth.

Overall: A nice pilsner lager style beer. Simple and light but nicely tasty and refreshing.
