Poured out of 12 oz bottle into tulip style pint glass.
A) Dark brown with red hue. The red really comes out, held up to light. A finger of head that was basically gone 3-4 minutes after the pour. No lacing.
S) Heavy malt aroma, roasted malt and grains, slight sweetness, earthy, woody, quite fresh.
T) Malt sweetness that hints a bit at caramel. It has a touch of booze and a tart apple cider finish.
M) Medium body, well carbonated. Fairly silky on the palate, with a somewhat dry finish.
O) This was a nice late fall selection. Decent transition brew to your winter warmers. A little lighter fair than NG's Uff Da, but just as enjoyable.
