A - The body of this brew is a cloudy dark yellow in color. A fairly aggressive swirl in the bottle, followed by a pour into my pint glass, produced a beautiful two finger white foamy head. Better than average head retention and spotty lacing...not bad for a beer with 9% ABV.
S - Hoptastic! Big time citric hop aroma, with some pineapple and grapefruit playfully joining in. This is a definitely delicious smelling beer!
T & M - The aroma matched the taste almost spot on. Pineapple and grapefruit lead the way with a decent dose of hop bitterness from the middle to the end, letting you know this is a IIPA. There is a bit of alcohol warmth after the swallow, just enough to let you know it's there. Medium bodied, and it seems to have a drying finish.
D - Very nice! New Glarus has crafted a fine IIPA here, if you like hops you'll love this beer. Very well done, something I would recommend to any of my friends!
