Picked this one up at the brewery 2 days ago and ready to consume.

A - pours a yellowish amber color with a decent head that dissipates to a nice white ring

N - the nose is off for me. Pretty subtle, but what's there includes grapefruit and seawater (wtf?).

T - Fortunately, this thing tastes nothing like it smells. Starts off with a nice blast of citrus sweetness, which give way to a really nice Marris Otter malt presence. The hops come back with a vengeance on the back end of the tongue, with a burst of grapefruit and some lighter citrus notes. This is big and bold as a IIPA should be.

M - nice and full body with a lot of nice creaminess to it

D - overall this is a solid IIPA from New Glarus. I haven't seen them put out a beer anywhere close to this one as far as hops are concerned, but they proved that they can brew a hop bomb as well as any of the other big timers. This makes me even more curious to try their regular IPA offering. Another winner from the Thumbprint series!

Hot diggity. Raul ain't never been to Wisconsin, but they sure are doing something right over yonder. This thang is big and heavy (not like a Wisconsin girl after some cheese curds "big and heavy") but good, big and heavy. Bitter like a Kardashian breakup up and stronger than my ex governor while on HGH. This lil sucker is supple and smooth.

Raul agrees. Raul agrees well and good!

IPA pours a golden clear color with very little head. The smell contains a strong aroma of hops, but has a sweet floral sent. The taste is very well balanced, has a nice floral hop taste, on the bitter side but not crazy. The easiest double IPA i ever had, very easy to drink, but still has a nice full underwater flavor. Overall a very nice Imperial IPA, not as strong and bitter, but well balanced, full of flavor, and has a sweeter fresh taste.

12 oz bottle into tulip

A - Gorgeous clear orange-yellow beer with 2 fingers of awesome eggshell white head. Looks amazing.

S - Heavy pine backed up with some citrus. Fruity citrus notes become more apparent the deeper you smell. Great.

T - Just like you would expect from the nose; a blast of piney hops followed by a smooth citrusy finish. One of the most drinkable and balanced DIPAs I've ever had. No alcohol taste at all.

M - Very oily, smooth and resinous. Perfect balance with enough malt character as I want in a bigger DIPA.

O - Glad to have tried this brilliant beer. It's very reminiscent of PtE, but perhaps better given the ABV! I hope to get my hands on more of these.
