Pours a clear copper color with two fingers of thick white head.

Smells of big clove notes with some banana and cracked wheat.

Big clove with some wheat and slight drying, clean bitterness on the finish.

Mouth is light bodied with ample carbonation and a drying finish.

I really do understand why people like wheat beers, but they're just not my cup of tea especially the German style examples that feature the estery yeast notes.

Pours a clear, dark copper in color with a thick light khaki-colored head, that eventually settles down. The aroma consists of bananas, with light chocolate or cocoa, clove, and spicy yeast. The mouthfeel is full-bodied. It has a softness to it with a tingling carbonation. Although, if you push the beer around your mouth, it still maintains a light airiness to it.

Flavors of wheat malt, banana & some slight chocolate, followed by a dusting of cinnamon. The satisfying flavor of the wheat malt really emerges in the middle. Cloves linger in the finish.

When I think of Fall, wheat beers like kristalweizens don’t tend to come to mind, but the combination of 50% Wisconsin red wheat seems to work here and gives this beer a little heartier feel in both taste, and certainly appearance to match the cooler weather. Impressive Autumn release!

The aroma of this brew is appetizing with notes of clove and banana bread. Some fresh fruity notes are deposited on the palate as the lively copper-hued brew moves through the mouth. The flavors are nice and fresh with orchard fruit and spice. It's earthy and refreshing at the same time. Another nice beer from the folks at New Glarus.

Poured into a weizen glass, huge initial head, pretty good lacing. Clear pale copper.

Banana, clove, and wheatiness the primary smells.

Wheat, black pepper, cinnamon, light fruits, and especially clove in the taste.

Very crisp mouthfeel. Medium-high carbonation, fits the style nicely.

This was nice and light and balanced. Nothing extreme about it, just nicely balanced and well done. I'd like to show this to some bud light drinkers.

Picked up a couple 6 packs of this earlier this fall. Finally getting around to reviewing one of the last ones left in the fridge.

A-This baby is very heady (large bubbles and yet frothy at the same time). Brilliantly clear with a rich copper color with plenty of tiny bubbles keeping that head dominating the surface.

S-Smells like a hefe-heavy on the banana fruity esters. Grainy wheat aroma.

T-A moderate amount of those banana-y esters. As well as lightly toasted wheat. What makes this beer unique is the spicy prickly heat sensation which has to be the cinnamon noted on the bottle. I'd prefer more of a clove phenol sensation instead.

M-Medium bodied for a weizen. Plenty of carbonation. Not creamy.

O-A solid brew although not as prefered as some other unfiltered versions. I think I'd rather drink the unfiltered versions that have a little more creaminess and stronger clove notes.

Poured out of 12 oz bottle into tulip style pint glass.

A) It is a deeper amber. There was a full two finger head, complete with rocky top. Nice retention. Good amount of lacing. Looks quite inviting.

S) Aroma of wheat and spices. A pleasing sweetness and hints of ripe banana.

T) Wheat upfront, sweetness and hints of other fruit, bit of apple, maybe pear. The banana is in there for sure. The finish is spice, mostly the clove.

M) Medium body, and pretty well carbonated. It is actually pretty creamy. Very nice on the palate.

O) This is pretty darn good. I had a few folks compare this to Dancing Man Wheat. This is not as good, but if Dancing Man isn't available, this would be an acceptable plan B.

From notes

A - light amber body, clear, small white head.

S - banana, clove, simple and therefore great

T - light and malty, very nice

M - light and super enjoyable

O - light is the name of the game. It's a masterpiece of lightness (not thinking of calories). Great beer.
