A - Just a tiny bit of light seeps through a deep mahogany body. A luxurious beige head sticks around for quite a while and leaves heaps of lacing.
S - Chocolate is really dominant. Hops are not as prominent as I was expecting, but they are there somewhere, providing subtle aromas of grass and pine.
T - As with the aroma, the flavor is more malt-forward than expected. Tastes a lot more like a rich brown ale. Chocolate is very strong. The hops provide a nice dry aftertaste.
M - Dry on the finish, but otherwise amply full.
O - Solid brew, easy to drink. Very fine-tuned flavors rather than big in-your-face flavors like a lot of beers.
