12oz. bottle poured into a tulip.
(A)- Pours a hazy pale yellow color that produced a nice frothy head. Good retention too.
(S)- A dry lemon peel and subtle hay/funk.
(T)- Similar to the smell. A nice dry body with subtle funk overall. A touch of lemon to freshen it up.
(M)- A really nice carbonation level. A great balance of dryness, funk, and subtle hay-like lemon.
(O)- Another great classic by New Glarus. I really like my Saisons dry, and this one delivers that on all fronts. It matches the style well and just hit the spot up on my summer vacation to the northwoods.

Found a random 4 pack of this today at Woodman's. Why not?
12oz bottle poured into Mr. Pint.
Appearance: Golden bronze with lots and lots of bubbles. Good amount of off-white head that goes down to a small bit that stays on top of the beer fairly quickly. Leaves nothing on the side of the glass for lacing.
Smell: Yeast, some good citrus notes, a little bit of pepper, little bit of fruity notes.
Taste: Sweet and yeasty. Some pear notes shine through, as does a little bit of other fruit. Definitely a soft, mellow taste to it. A faint bit of pepper at the finish.
Mouthfeel: Smooth. Soft. Medium-light with a little bit of carbonation.
Overall: Very drinkable. Age has done this pretty well on the whole - it's not a sharp hit like I would have expected from when it was first on the shelves. Definitely a nice random surprise at the store!

12oz brown bottle with no freshness date
LOOK: Bubbly, hazed golden straw, big head, good retention
SMELL: Peppery, taffy, dragon fruit, chalky yeast, biscuity, clementine pith
TASTE: Expressively crisp, lighter bodied, peppery, gummy, ginger-like, biscuity, earthy, fresh grain, dried grass, bread crust, phenolic, semi-dry finish
A delicate brew in someways but very intricate the more you sip it. Without a doubt one of the best Saisons I have tried this year. Beers like this would be worth a visit to the brewery and I am pretty sure I have said this about of their beers before.

A- Hazed and murky darker tangarine, lite tan head with bubbles on the larger side of tiny, stays nicely but leaves just some slippery foam.
S- Pungent nose filled with pepper, Belgian yeast spicing and ripe fruits.
T- Zesty, bold and flavorful, with pepper, plentiful a banana note, yeast and excess character burting through.
M- carbonation on the active side
O-Agressive saison, flavorful and quite enjoyable. Has the feel of an imperial or very American take on the style, and I like it.

A: Pours a hazy golden color with a large white head on top, very bubbly with nice retention leaving a one finger cap on top. Thin lacing forms on the glass.
S: Yeast and spices, cloves and pepper. A bit of banana as well as bready/doughy malt.
T: A bit of citrus up front mixed with banana and a little pepper, cloves, and a touch of ginger. On the earthy side with a bit of grassy hops.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, very crisp.
O: A fan of this saison, the crispness combined with the citrus and ginger along with the normal saison flavors sets this one apart.

12oz single, returned from a recent visit back to Madison. Wow - what a terrible uploaded picture of this bottle.
appearance: served in a new holland autumnfest pint, hazy straw-golden body, fluffy white head with nice retention
smell: belgian yeast, white pepper, corriander
taste: a much more traditional effort than the imperial saison of yesteryear. fresh and crisp - corriander, white pepper, loads of yeast, lemon peel, fresh citrus, soapy. A good saison - not very funky, but solid and drinkable
mouthfeel: very yeasty, floral
overall: would make a nice year-round offering, a little standard for the thumbprint/unplugged line

Shared by cmrillo during BRoss242’s send-off party before he moves! Will miss you man! Served from bottle into a Mikkeller taster flute. Poured a golden yellow with a one finger white head that remained throughout. Maintained decent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, fruit, banana, earth, and spice. The flavor was of sweet malt, fruit, banana, and earth. It had a light feel on the palate with high carbonation. Overall this was a pretty decent brew. As far as saisons go this one wasn’t too bad, but it definitely didn’t stand out like I would have hoped it would. However, most of the right aspects were there, but there was no sign of the spices typical of the style but was rather a little more fruity and sweet. Worth trying if you get the chance, but I wouldn’t seek it out specifically if you have to trade for it.
