A - Pours a deep ruby red with a nice whitish head. I was using a Chimay goblet which so you can really enjoy the appearance. It doesn't get more inviting
S - A strong overtone of Granny Smith apple with cranberry. The sour apple smell was most noticable and very pleasant for this style of beer
T - Similar to a Belgian sour ale. A very strong note of apple cider with lesser cranberry and cherry flavors. If I had a criticism I would say the apple cider taste can overpower the other fruity tastes. Overall though I don't have much to complain about.
M - Very refreshing! It isn't at all heavy and has a very clean taste. The slight sourness does linger which is what I expected.
O - it is Serendipity! This beer is indeed the happy accident that New Glarus was hoping for. I don't know if New Glarus will continue to brew this beer seasonally but I would certainly would make a regular purchase of this beer if they do continue to produce it.
