Bottle picked up in Milwaukee by Bryna. Thanks! Served in a pint glass.
A - White foam settles to a collar, wisps, and minimal lacework. Transparent amber body.
S - Massive apple aroma, with lesser notes of cranberry and cherry. Faint oak at the outset, but fades as the beer warms up. Light tart fruit character, but I don't think I'd guess there was wild yeast involved without reading the beer description.
T - The taste has more of the cherry and cranberry flavors mid-palate, before yielding to apple in the finish. Some slight malt sweetness mixes with the fruits, but it's fairly low-level. Loads of flavor for a 4% beer.
M - Medium body, juicy texture, with light tannic fruit and oak character late. Pleasant moderate-to-high carbonation, and obviously no discernible alcohol character.
D - It's like fruit juice. Really easy to drink, although it's a tiny bit sweeter than I prefer. It's like a blend of Apple Ale, Cranbic, and Belgian Red; glad New Glarus was able to make "lemonade out of lemons" in regards to the poor cherry harvest.

750 ml bottle served in a New Glarus flute.
A: Pours a reddish color with an off-white head forming on the pour. It recedes quickly to a thin ring and thin film. Some splotchy lace is left down the glass.
S: Unwashed apple skins with some cherry and cranberry flesh. Fresh oak with light cracker malt backbone.
T: Granny smith apple, tart cranberry and some light cherry. Sweet malts with a little oak profile as well.
M: Light bodied with a nice medium high carbonation level. A little spritzy with a sweet and fruity finish.
O: A plethora of mixed berry with a slight cider hint to it with the apples. Another great fruit beer from New Glarus.
