Severe Drought, we shared the farmer’s horror as Wisconsin’s cherry crop failed! Dan bought what cherries he could. The Apple crop fared better. Then joy! A grand Wisconsin cranberry harvest. What will Dan brew with Apples, Cranberries and Cherries? Oh my! You hold the happy accident of Wisconsin’s favorite fruit aged in oak with an almost magical wild fermentation. Serendipity is a wondrous celebration that sparkles your senses and dances across your palate. A kaleidoscope of flavor discovered by accident in a sour ale!

Cheers to the unexpected.

This much anticipated offering from New Glarus pours ruddy red with some short froth that is reddish tan and falls quickly to a light skim coat.

There's a strong, sour and tart aroma dominated by cherry but the apple and cranberry blend together seamlessly to create an awesome smelling fruit beer. Some light honeyed malt aroma sneaks through the fruit.

The flavor is bursting with fruit also dominated by the cherry. The sweet apple plays nicely against the tart cranberry. The finish is sour apple with some tartness and sweetness to balance it out. The malt is in the background and no noticeable taste from the hops or yeast. The focus is entirely on berries and fruit as it should be.

The mouthfeel has a light carbonation that is perfect and this is tart and refreshing. Full flavored and medium body. More easily quaffed than their Cherry beer.

This is my new favorite fruit beer from NG. Cheers!

Shared this with Sendsilk. He introduced me to New Glarus. Thanks man.

Appearance: Pours a red/pink color with a film of a white head. Just looks like a fruit beer.

Smell: Smells of straight up sweet apples and strawberries. So inviting.

Taste - Taste is strawberry soda and apples. Not too sweet. Not too syrupy. Just perfect.

Mouthfeel: Light mouthfeel.

Overall: One of the best fruit beers I've ever had. Just right. If I traded, this, Raspberry Tart and Wisconsin Belgian Red would be on my permanent ISO list. I could drink this every day.

(Served in a teku)
A-This beer pours a clear dense brown body with a red hue and a thick tan foam.

S- There is a nice mixed berry and fruit aroma with some apple skins in the finish.

T- The well-blended fruit flavor has some cherry notes to it with a jammy but not overly sweet flavor that leads to a fresh cider taste. There is a slight tart finish and a nice woody dry cola note that comes through as it opens.

M- This beer has a medium-light mouthfeel with a crisp fizz.

O- This beer has a really nice depth to the fruit flavor and a great freshness to it. The intense fruit flavor would be nice in smaller bottles.
