Notes/Commercial Description:
Severe Drought, we shared the farmer’s horror as Wisconsin’s cherry crop failed! Dan bought what cherries he could. The Apple crop fared better. Then joy! A grand Wisconsin cranberry harvest. What will Dan brew with Apples, Cranberries and Cherries? Oh my! You hold the happy accident of Wisconsin’s favorite fruit aged in oak with an almost magical wild fermentation. Serendipity is a wondrous celebration that sparkles your senses and dances across your palate. A kaleidoscope of flavor discovered by accident in a sour ale!

Cheers to the unexpected.

Thanks to FishAndBeer for the trade.

Poured from a 750ml bottle to a tulip glass

A- Deep ruby and garnet with a medium off-white slightly garnet head that dissipates slowly to a ring.

S- Sweet fruit, very similar to sparkling cranberry apple juice you can find around Thanksgiving. I can get all three fruit flavors of cherry, apple, and cranberry coming through, it makes your mouth water!

T- Similar to nose but with added tartness. Very clean and crisp, light and thirst quenching.

M- Light and and the sweet and tart are clean and refreshing. Carb level is right where it should be.

O- This is exactly what I like in a fruit beer. To me it should be big on the fruit flavors with a light to not discernible yeast profile, unless we're talkin' lambics of course. If I had the money I would replace soda pop with this stuff and keg it at my house. The thing the surprised me most was how balanced all three fruit flavors are, look forward to trying more New Glarus offerings in the future.

750 ml bottle poured into small snifter. Low carbonation, some soapy lacing. Light cranberry in color. Aroma includes tart cherry, musty apple, cranberry. Taste is an amalgam of tart and sweet. All of the fruit is noted on taste, a little sweeter on taste than expected. Amazing.

Purchased late September 2013 in Wisconsin and transported in luggage back to Virginia. Could not find a packaged-on date. Poured into a tulip.

Too much cranberry. Have you ever had mixed cranberry juice with ginger ale? That is flashback I get when I drink this beer. A bit rich. Maybe best had as an aperitif type beer. Could use some more balance, some sourness or bitterness to offset the sweetness. 3.75

A – Pours a beautiful, rather unique clear cranberry color with a one-finger rocky head that dissipates quickly to a lasting thin layer. Good carbonation. Poor lacing. 4.25

S – Fruity, sweet, faint cherries and cranberries. 4.75

T – Sweet start with a semi-dry finish. A malty backbone is there, but it is all about the cranberries. 3.75

MF – Smooth, medium-bodied with a semi-dry finish. 3.75
