Severe Drought, we shared the farmer’s horror as Wisconsin’s cherry crop failed! Dan bought what cherries he could. The Apple crop fared better. Then joy! A grand Wisconsin cranberry harvest. What will Dan brew with Apples, Cranberries and Cherries? Oh my! You hold the happy accident of Wisconsin’s favorite fruit aged in oak with an almost magical wild fermentation. Serendipity is a wondrous celebration that sparkles your senses and dances across your palate. A kaleidoscope of flavor discovered by accident in a sour ale!

Cheers to the unexpected.

Pours dark red, two finger bone head. Smell is loaded with cranberry, cherry, and Apple of corse. Tastes of the same fruit, but also honey, and fairly sweet as expected. There is little carbonation and the texture is not thin. Overall this is very well done, loaded with fruit flavor and not super complex, just Really delicious. The best part about this beer is how it's not overly sweet, and not syrupy.

A: Pours a hazed amber color with a bit of a garnet hue when held to light. A foamy two finger head rises up in the glass immediately and shows decent retention.

S: As soon as it's poured, the room starts to fill with sweet red apple and cherry notes. Very sweet, but not sickeningly so. Tons of juicy red apple, syrup soaked cherry and bright cranberry with just a hint of oak and vanilla underneath. Smells incredible.

T: Very similar to the smell. Which is a really good thing. There's just so much fruit juice packed into this thing, it's incredible. Tons of apple cider with a lot of juicy red cherry and cranberry juice cocktail thrown in for good measure. A hint of ripe pear, fruit leather and red apple skin on the finish. Just enough carbonation to break up the sweetness, though it could maybe do with just a touch more. This is the most fruit I've ever tasted in a beer. I really love this stuff.

Pours ruby red with orange hues. Foamy head that doesn't last long.

Nose has as much fruit as you would expect with a label like this.

Initial taste is slightly tart, crisp with a bit of syrup left on the palate. Hard to discern what fruit is exactly coming through but it really is a treat. Perfect for after dinner. Bits of cranberry and apple do come through as you drink this. Some dryness but thicker overall in mouthfeel. As I mentioned this comes through a bit syrupy and sweet.
The carbonation cuts through some of this sweetness.

Overall a very nice sour ale I was lucky to try.
