A clear copper colored body. Half an inch head had an eggshell tone and took about two minutes to recede. Lots of carbonation bubbles rising rapidly. Only a few tiny lace spots.
Faint nutty presence behind a nice roasted malt backbone. Hops are quite bitter and have a decent strength. Balance is more malt then hops but both are showcased nicely.
A very sweet caramel and brown bread blend. Malt also brings a bit of a roasted walnut flavor. Hops are bitter and burst at the back of the mouth to finish strong.
A nice thickness and surface cling to this one. Carbonation is very active on the tongue.
A solid brew. Would taste great with a pork chop dinner. A good brew to enjoy on an crisp autumn night. Solid every day offering to keep on hand.
