Pours a hazy amber/red with a 1 finger cream head that quickly dissipates.
I just did a side-by-side with another english brown ale (South Shore Nut Brown Ale). In the South Shore I was getting biscuit and coffee but in Fat Squirrel those flavors are much more muted. Very very muted indeed. It took me a few drinks before I started to get some biscuit flavor.
I like this beer as a beer, but I'm not getting very strong coffee/biscuit/bread/malt flavors from it. This is leaning towards the fruit side more then the nut brown side.
Will drink again
