A: The beer is clear brownish amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high off white head that died down but left a thin film of bubbles on the surface and a thick ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: There are light to moderately strong aromas of nutty malts in the nose along with hints of bready malts.
T: Similar to the smell, nutty flavors of malts dominate the overall taste, which has a bit of malty sweetness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink and goes down easily.

This was part of a sample pack from a random store south of Duluth in Wisconsin.

The title is amusing, but the beer is pleasing. It pours a clear, dark brown with a finger of foam and plenty of carbonation. The aroma is light, nutty and a bit of malt. It's quite tasty with the nuttiness and caramel mixing together. The body seems a bit thin, watery. It goes down easy enough.

I bought a 6pk of this from Woodman's in Janesville, WI for $6.99 in Fall 2011.

Pours a medium brown color with a head that leaves thin layer of carbonation on top. Scents of caramel malts and roasted malts tickle the nose along with some toffee hints. The taste is smooth yet full of flavor. There's the sweet caramel malts, roasted hazelnuts, and other nutty flavors. Drinks smooth and is a great year round beer but definetly would drink best in the colder months. One of New Glarus' two most famous beers along with Spotted Cow.

The appearance of the beer is a very dark red-like-mahogany. Translucent and with a medium amount of head it's a pretty beer.

The smell is nutty for me. It's definitely one of my favorite smells.

The actual taste of the beer is pleasant but it does seem to be missing something in the finish. The bitterness is medium and it could be better.

I love the mouth feel of this beer. New Glarus always does a great job with the creamy natures of their beers. It's a lingering film on your tongue that keeps you wanting to drink more, it's great.

Overall I like this beer, it goes down smooth and easy and I could drink a few of these in a roll.
