Pours a nice golden amber with a small head that fades moderately slow. Reasonable example of the style. At 7.5 % alcohol, however, be careful. Enjoyable and definitely not one to avoid.

2019 - in the Franken Bock Bier Advent Calendar
2022- had a "schnitt" at the brewery guesthouse. Wow!

The beer pours a hazy golden color with a thick frothy white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a nice pale, Munich, and bisquit malt scent. It's a bit sweet with a nice subtle breadiness. The taste is decent. It has a grainy pale and Munch malt flavor that goes down slow and finishes very dry and bitter. The mouthfeel is decent as well. It is a medium bodied beer with good carbonation. This is a pretty good bock. I suppose it's authentic and true to style, but I'm not jumping up for joy for this one.

Sampled on-tap at Cafe Abseits in Bamberg, Germany, November 2005.

This bockbier poured a clear, light amber color with creamy, slightly off-white foam that settled, but coated and clung to the glass. The smell was very light, with a bit of malt and a hint of sweetness. The taste was malty with a hint of Munich malt and a mildly hoppy finish. There was a light residual sweetness. The mouthfeel was crisp with medium-full body and good carbonation and a dry finish. The aftertaste was malty and hoppy. This was a pretty good bockbier on-tap.
