Picked this up at a store called Rewe in Bamberg a few weeks ago. Set me back all of 0.79 (plus 0.08 deposit). Has a best-before notch of 06NOV10 on it.
Poured into an imperial pint glass, it had a clear, medium golden hue, with steady, plentiful carbo bubbling up. Head was a touch off-white, fine and fluffy. Lacing sticking in the glass was very nice. The aroma was quite inviting, showing lots of breadiness and light sweetness.
Body was a standard medium, nothing more or less. As for the feel, it was mostly smooth but with a light touch of prickliness.
Flavor hits you with some breadiness and a touch of toasty malt. Very subtle caramel is present, with hints of sweetness. Once the malt act has played out, some lightly floral hops decide to hit the palate. They linger a bit with some mild bitterness. A fairly decent Märzen, good for a 1/2 liter or 2. Prosit!!

I had this on tap at the Original Bierhausla in Kulmbach.
A: Clear copper, some white head, great retention, nice lace.
S: Caramel and bread.
T: Caramel sweetness up front, some grassy spicyness through the middle, finishes with a slightly crisp bitterness.
M: Light to moderate body and carbonation.
D: VERY drinkable.

Amber, full, very clean appearance. No bubbles. Almost zero foam.
The smell is malty, with light caramel. Hints of smoked. Grainy. Quite sweet, but not too disturbing.
The taste is on the same path, quite malty. But nothing remarkable.
Here again some light smoked notes.
Medium-light in body.
Drinkable, but surely not unforgettable.
