Served on cask @ the brewery. Dry hopped with experimental hops #05256.
Sample pour was entirely foam. Had to wait a couple minutes for settling.
Never went for a full glass. Each time I took a sip, my tastebuds asked if there was a piece of candy in my mouth. Wasn't the malt - that seemed fine. It was more of a "sugar" impact on my sweet tastbuds and a little of the fragrance.
The experimental hops give a citrusy flavor.
Overall - I had an impression of holiday candy in my beer. Just not what I was looking for. Went for the Rye Dunkelweizen instead, because I love rye beers.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. Liquor coloured body with a bit of a head. Tasted like gin, rather than rye, with so-so drinkable.Herbal, toasty, honey, marmelade, well malted.Average mouthfeel, little sign of hops. A bit odd so I won't seek it out again.

Poured into an imperial pint glass. Color was a medium golden brown with a thing 1 finger white head. Head didn't last long, but left a thing layer that had a small bit of cling to the sides. Aroma was grainy, definitely prominent rye aroma. Finished with a slight hint of sweet aroma. Flavor a bit of bitterness to begin, but shifted to a robust grainy flavor. A small hint of sourness finished it up. Felt ok in the mouth, a tad bit of over carbonation on the tongue, despite not seeing large amounts of bubbles. Overall not bad, a nice beer.
