Serving type- Awesome looking growler poured into a pint glass.
A- Pours a deep hazy orange color with a plethora of carbonation bubbles clinging to the pint glass. There is no desernable head but a nice small white lace that is leveled as you drink the beer.
S- I am smelling prominent hints of citrus and some smaller notes of pine out of this one. I would also catergorize this smell as a little tart as well. A nice smelling IPA.
T- This beer starts rather even and mellow but as you near the finish it turns into a tale tail bitter and hoppy IPA. A very nice tasting IPA, I would say that this is more reminiscent of an East Coast IPA versus a West Coast. A very easy drinking IPA. I can see why the sender stated that he drinks a lot of this on tap. A good brew, no doubt.
I recieved this growler as part on the next leg of Growling at the taxman. Joepais was the sender and this is my first offering from Portsmouth. I am very happy to have gotten to taste this IPA and I am looking forward to the other bottle that joe sent. Thanks for the exposure to the IPA joe.

Poured into a tulip glass, best before August. Pours a hazy bright orange, with a wonderful 2 inch white head that leaves behind excellent lacing. Smell is tangerine, pineapple, mango, cut grass, pine, and grapefruit. Taste is all of that, very well balanced, loads of citrus upfront, with a piney grapefruit finish. Body is medium, plenty of life, not dry, and easy sipping. This is one of the finest IPAs going.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance: Clear copper color with a beige head of about 3 fingers.
Smell: Very citrusy and mild alcohol smell.
Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth medium bodied. Citrus and Hops are at the front with a good ending of hops that leaves a pleasant aftertaste that is a mild bittersweet.
Overall: Good beer! I will have this one again.
