Pours a murky orange with a nice off white head leaving a nicely laced glass.
Aroma has some citrus, grapefruit, some sweet malts. It seems well balanced between the hops and malts. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated.

Single, 19.2 ounce can copped from Four Seasons in Morristown. Pours a golden, copper hue with moderate frothing. Noticeable aroma replete with hints of citrus and grapefruit. Similar overall flavor profile. Not bad.

Look: Translucent. But not bright. A bit of haze. Pale/medium amber. Khaki colored head that’s settled to a finger and leave streaks of lacing on my glass. No visible carbonation.

Smell: Fresh apricot, orange, caramel sweetness, earthy black tea, grassy and herbal with some weedy/dank/oregano notes. Really nice.

Taste: This IPA is really good. It strikes a nice balance between the bready/honey/caramel malt sweetness and hop bitterness / dank notes. Really hits the sweet spot. Up front some sweeter stone fruit notes, lemon, lime and orange citrus mid palate with some grapefruit and grapefruit pith bitterness on the finish. Some herbal, grassy and dank notes too. A really nice bitterness to the beer. This IPA hits many notes that I like.

Feel: Moderate level of carbonation. Smooth and semi dry.

Overall: This IPA is really nice. Is it better than local options? No. It’s probably about as good though. Do I take price into consideration when rating? No. But it’s worth noting that at 2.99 a stovepipe buying this beer is a no brainer.

A: Dark rustic orange coloring has a dense nature and a moderate amount and rise of carbonation. A one inch firm, frothy topping has a thick consistency, almost yogurt like, and holds firmly. A nice bready lace band encompasses the vessel. Lasting top coverage.

S: Lemon-lime hops have back-notes of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice. Fresh and wet nose. Backdrops of lightly toasted bread crust of moderate strength.

T: The flavor had a prickly bright citrus-lime taste, coming forefront, followed by a toasted bready malting and dry hopping of cascade hops. Sticky hop resins of pine are viscose and juicy, and particularly dank in nature, blending perfectly with the dry citrus hop finish. Grapefruit and slightly dry lemon peel add a slight bitterness and dryness along with a nice level of mixture and flavor to the bittering hops.

M: Thick and bready mouthful, malty and chewy, of soft toasted bread and grains. Soft massage of carbonation, frothy feel on the tongue with lots of dank hop resins providing a sticky and flowery finish off the tongue.

O: A deep malty and bready palette has loads of juicy and dank hop resins and oils, finishes dry and flowery from a respectable amount of dry citrus hops. Very good first impressions, lasts to the very end of the drink, with a high enjoyable and drinkability rate that should impress and interest the most dedicated of hop heads. Loads of dank juicy hops provide a nice range of flavor and sticky resins along with a finishing bittereness makes this a well developed and rewarding drinking experience. Is it just a coincidence I am a huge misfits fan and there are 138 current reviews? Fiends will get it.

I saw this on the menu at the Tapalpa Mexican Restaurant in Elk Grove Village, IL. Since I've tried several Wild Onion Brewery beers before, I decided to add this one to my list. $5 for a 12oz can along with a short 10oz frosted beer glass. There was no freshness date on the can but this is one of their year round brews, so I wasn't too worried about it.

The beer poured a hazy copper color with a nice 2-finger off white head that lasted a little over a minute. The lacing was decent as well. The glass they give you won't hold the entire can so I had to make two separate pours.

The Citra and Cenntenial hops in here give off a big grapefruit aroma along with some other tropical fruits. A little malt sweetness comes through as well.

I hope you like bitter IPAs because that's what you're getting here. 75 IBUs of grapefruit and other tropical fruit hoppiness tamed only slightly with a dash of caramel malt sweetness. Definitely not a beer to gulp down quickly. This one's a slow sipper.

The beer is not syrupy thick, but it is on the medium to heavy side as far as body goes. Carbonation is medium high, which is perfect for this style beer,

If you like grapefruit flavored beer then you're going to love this. If you don't like high bitterness or the flavor of grapefruit, then I'd give this one a pass.
