Poured into a snifter. Burnt orange in color, and is very hazy and bold. I can not see my fingers through the beer. No head really even begins to form on this one, but the ring on the side of the glass leaves a mild amount of lacing. Those 100 IBUs are immediately noticeable from the first whiff. Hoppy resin dominates, but some piney and orange notes are definitely there in the background. On the front, middle, and back of the tongue, bitter hops seem to be all that is relevant to this one. Who needs a malty backbone anyways? This is an easy one to slug, but your palate is just destroyed. Left Coast should just forfeit the name Hop Juice to these guys.
Overall: One dimensional, but it's a solid dimension.

Dark amber orange in appearance and pours a pretty off white head that dissipates quickly.
Smells like a hop bomb! I'm enticed! Strong hops on the nose, slight hint of lemon peel, and barely a dash of malt for no real attempt at balance.
Taste is bitter and straight hops all the way, not bad though, slight citrus to note as well.
Mouthfeel is crisp and bitter.
Overall a very tasty DIPA and the brewery is within driving distance so that ain't bad.
