Poured from a 12 oz can.

Hazy, light amber pour with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Poor retention and lacing. Mild cinnamon and clove in the aroma. Pumpkin flavor is very subtle and really just leans on spices instead of going for that full pumpkin pie flavor. Too light in body, almost feels slightly watered down. Those pumpkin pie spices really need a solid malt base to work off of and it's just not there in this one. Not recommended, there are much better versions of the style out there.

- can.

(3.00) A: Pale, rustic orange body with light instances of effervesce has a quickly dissolving cap of dirty white coloring. Surface and vessel are clean of lace. Fairly boring visual, not much incentive.

(3.20) S: Aroma of cloves are dominant, with cinnamon toast crunch and orange. Some pumpkin toasty notes and berries.

(3.25) T: The flavor was rather mundane, pumpkin of natural flavor was one of the few sticking points, sweetly toasted caramel with a dry dusting of cloves. Dried orange, with a spiciness of toasted pumpkin warmth, cinnamon with a lightly dry finish.

(3.15) M: Spicy mouthful, toasty, bready feel with a low amount of carbonation content.

(3.20) O: Overall the nose was somewhat spicy and hopeful, the flavor had a more natural tone, but was pretty much lackluster in flavor and rather ordinary. Hard to decide where this lies, it hardly stands out, not really hearty enough for the chilly eastern october weather, with little incentive for repeat factor. Mid C rating is the best i can offer here.

You know it's not gonna be great when the selling point is "First canned Pumpkin Ale in the US" without any mention to what the beer is made with/any tasting notes. It's ok, but nothing to see here.
