Appearance: Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. There was a scant head that fell quickly to a very thin ring of foam.
Aroma: Sweet grapefruit with a definite malt presence.
Taste: There was a faint sour hit at first contact, but the predominant taste was malt with some oranges and maybe bread along with a mild hops presence. The hops lingered along with some of the malty sweetness.
Mouthfeel: The body was on the thin side. The carbonation was appropriate.
Overall: This drinks as a classic American pale ale. It was refreshing and enjoyable; I especially liked the hints of orange in the taste. I don't think I've seen this in my area (southeast Michigan), but if I see it when I'm in the Pittsburgh area, I'd consider getting some.
