ThunderHop is a great IPA for the casual IPA drinker. Its not overhopped and has a smooth taster with a great finish. Its a solid traditional India Pale Ale with no over bearing resin.

12oz bottle poured into glass.
Look: dark gold with a medium white head.
Smell: pine, and citrus stand out.
Taste: Pine notes, then grapefruit at first then caramel notes at the backend. Very balanced.
Feel: average, not too weak, not too strong.
Overall: Another great beer by church brew works.

Lawrenceville Brewery, Inc./The Church Brew Works "Thunderhop India Pale Ale"
12 fl. oz. brown glass bottle without freshness dating
$2.17 @ Giant Eagle, Indiana, PA

Notes via stream of consciousness: A rough pour brings up a short head of bright white foam over a slightly hazy golden body. The aroma is pungent with hop resins, pine, and citrus. The flavor delivers a flavorful maltiness that's grainy, a little toasty, and just lightly caramelish. The hops remain with notes of orange, grapefruit, pine, spiciness, mint, and a touch of red berry. It's solidly bitter and finishes dry with just a drop of residual malt and some residual orange/tangerine, pine, and earthiness. Nicely balanced. Medium leaning medium-light on body and crisp. Unfortunately the head hasn't held up well but there is some decent lacing left behind. Overall I'd have to say it's a great American IPA that's a bit unique in its choice of hops.
