tap at the brewpub

Pours a light hazy gold with a white lacing.

Smells of lemon and candi sugar sweetness.

Flavor is of lemon, sugar sweetness, and notable hints of black pepper spice.

Light body with a light hint of carbonation.

A highly drinkable witbier, feels lighter than the abv. Might be a bit bland for some, but the pepper makes it interesting and unique. Overall, pretty good, would have again and would recommend for wit fans. (453 characters)

Pours a light golden color. White head fizzles away, not so good retention. The aroma is wheat driven with notes of peppercorn and coriander. In the taste, wheat and peppercorn but not overdone or overly spicy. Faint citrus. Medium bodied, decently carbed ale, low medium. Overall, a nice wit with pepper. (305 characters)

Draft offering at the source. The brew appears an unexpected polished clarity of yellow coloration. A finger of white head rests atop and is quick to fade.

The aroma contains notes of clove and cracked pepper. Some pear and apple sweetness emerge along with hints of bready grain. The brew smells quite enjoyable and fitting of the style.

The taste is straight clove spice with a minor pepper quality to back. The spiced aspect of the yeast works with what seems like a cracked peppercorn addition. However, there is a strange fruity character and dirty grain element that clashes with the clove and pepper instead of integrating and melding with it.

This is a light bodied brew with a modest amount of carbonation. It is dry and just not that good despite showing some initial potential. I have to question the freshness of this brew, maybe that is why I didnt particularly care for it? (890 characters)

Draught @ Headkeeper: This one pours a hazy golden color. There was a thin white head on it. Minimal lacing. Very nice nose. Peppery, coriander, some other spices, wheat, hint of lemon. The taste is very good. Wheat, peppery spice is strong but not overdone, as well as some breadiness. Very nice! (297 characters)
