Actually my third time over the last 5 years or so visiting this place my old Mackinac Island buddy Steve was the lead saute chef there at one time Iam not sure he is there anymore though anyways to the review. How can you not love the inside of this place big stained glass windows high ceilings just an old world feeling to it,me and my wife sat in the bar area because we wanted to get something quick to eat with a few beers before the Tigers-Pirates game our server was prompt and friendly the bar menu was much more expansive than most bar menus wood fired pizzas to the perogies of the day we went with the tomato basil wood fired pizza and it was very good we could see the pizza being made in the corner. The beer range went from a oatmeal stout to a Belgian pale I had 4 offerings with the Blast Furnace oatmeal stout being the best.I always like coming here when in Pittsburgh along with Penn brewing the old world charm of this place makes it a cant miss when in town in my mind.

Great perogies and pizza, great aps and entrees too, albeit on the pricey side but a great dining experience in a old Catholic church, tons of great craft beers all on tap and very fresh that rotate often, you will spend Morton's/ Ruth Chris money (at least I do) but very satisfying.
Try it
