Got it on tap at the Merry Monk in Albany, where they served it in the appropriate (named) glassware.
A: Body is bright golden with a 1+ finger white head that fades slowly and leaves a bit of lace on the glass up top.
S: Not too strong in the nose: light, grainy malt, a touch of citrus and some spice.
T: First impression: bready/grainy malt, spice and citrus. "Good citrus vibrancy" I wrote. Also some bread dough, perhaps from the yeast strain, and a lighter malt character. Alcohol isn't noted on the taste, but is felt in the belly as a nice warmth. Finishes fairly balanced between sweet and citrusy bitterness.
M: Kind of crisp, but also nice creaminess to the carbonation. Call it slightly lighter than medium in heft.
D: I enjoyed this - call it somewhere between Duvel Single (the green label) and regular Duvel. I'd have it again.
Serving type: on-tap
