Taken from notes. Drank at 'The Irish Bar' in Viseu. Date of review: 28 December 2008. Best before date: 18-02-2009. Poured into a Goblet.
Presentation: First of, the design... Delightful. It's full and colorful, and the artwork is extremely appealing. The color schematic itself is ideal, with yellow and other darker earthy tones being the most predominant on a blackish bottle. It really sets the mood for the following experience.
Appearance: One inch head that quickly fades into thin cap. Slightly hazy Pale yellow brew. Perceived effervescence is low. Weak lacing.
Smell: Really straightforward banana slap across the face. Some clove on the second stage. Not much hop aroma to speak of. All in all, it actually works great.
Taste: Taste is of wheat, banana, bubblegum and slightly citrusy. No obvious hop or spice flavor. Slightly Disappointed; some clove or coriander seeds could really make the flavor that much more bold and rich.
Mouthfeel: Medium Carbonation. Texture is slightly watery. Finishes sweet. Medium Hop bitterness.
Drinkability: Very good drinkability considering its ABV and lackluster mouthfeel. Could go unnoticed as a session Belgian beer.
Overall: A very enjoyable experience in itself, that starts from the moment you see the label until the last sip you take from your Banana perfumed glass. Will have again.

On draft at Café Hollander in Tosa, WI.
The beer is hazy and yellow with a half inch of pure white head. The aroma brings fruity esters, yeast, booze, grain. Notes of pineapple and grass with a mild but present alcohol. A tad sweet with a mild warmth in the finish. Light bitterness in the finish with lingering tropical fruits. This was pretty good.

Hazy yellow golden color with a thin aired head with short retention, but leaving some laces.
Initially malty aroma followed by notes of oranges, booze, pineapple and honey.
Flavor of booze, spicy yeast at the beginning of tasting, Cointreau liquor, hard center of a pineapple, yeast, some hay, pear, banana and a mild sourness. And some faint herbal hop around.
Light body with appropriate carbonation, alcohol is apparent but does not bother.
A decent ok beer, tasty and assertively light with a booze kick. Not bad, not extraordinary.
