250 ml bottle poured into a Chalice glass
Appearance... cloudy golden straw colour beer with head white of almost 1 finger
Aroma... lemon and malt. Fresh and not too strong smell
Taste... citrus and herbal, a little touch of yeast, the spicy presence that bottle legend announces is not present in my opinion
Mouthfeel... medium body and medium/soft carbonation
Overall...a refreshing beer but nothing remarkable.

01/25/11- Had this one on-tap at the Winking Lizard on Bethel.
A: Clear pale gold, with a thinner creamy collar.
S: Creamy pale malts, corny, yeasty bread, and lemon.
T: Golden crisp apple and sweet corn with a slight coconut and some floral notes. This is OK. The whole thing kind of comes off like Blue Moon with a dry finish and less citrus. There is something... off here.
M: Thinner but creamy and frothy.
D: OK. I don't want more than one.
I'm not really impressed with this.

Love the little hop-headed troll on the bottle

Pours a chill-hazed honey color with 2 fingers of pearl colored head. Average head retention & lacing

S: Peppery yeast, grassy notes & apple peels

T: pear & white grape, white pepper, lemony & grassy notes up front. Aspirin & lemons assert along with crackery & dry notes as this warms. Finishes with grapefruit, apple peels & white pepper

MF: Fairly thin, firm carbonation, some grainyness. Carbonation picks up as this warms & becomes a touch prickly

This one was a letdown, I was expecting way more from this one, a supposed limited edition, 10th anniversary release...

Had this at palais des bieres in Geneva. Switzerland .

Pours a golden yellow color with a tinge of orange and a slight hazy transparency. Has a nice 2 finger head with a perfect white head and a lacing that tracks each sip. The aroma is of sour apples, lemon peel and a grassy hay like aroma, slightly sour. The taste is bright and vibrant, lack of malt favors hurt this beer and it's too acidic for my tastes. Nice cleansing feeling with the citrus but overall it's a pass for me if I am looking for a nice Belgian pale ale.

Bottle at Chaucer's Pub in London, Ont- A hazy yellow pour is capped with a thick finger of bleached white head, that leaves moderate lace. Aromas are faint, but balanced. Spicy, slight floral, some bread, grass, and hops. A mild bite of spices and fruit enter the mouth. Mild bready flavours, with some sweetness, and mild alcohol. Soft carbonation, an easy drinker considering the ABV. Probably a touch under-rated IMO. Thanks for getting this one in Milos!

(Served in a chalice)

A- The strong pop of the cork yields a huge foam that overflows the glass and keeps oozing out of the bottle. There is a murky yellow body with a racing carbonation of bubbles supporting the thick bubbly white head.

S- The aroma of wet clay and faint green hop hint are all that come through the aroma.

T- The clean flavor has some lemon yeasty notes with a clean finish of carbonic acid.

M- This beer has a light mouthfeel but the big scrubbing fizz fills the mouth. There is no alcohol heat noticed.

O- The fizz dominates this beer with soft notes of hops and some yeast character coming through but not much. This beer turns a bit water after the carbonation burns up.

Best before 24-06-05. Poors in nicly givving a nice head that lasts and leaves nice laces at the glas. Futher an opalizing golden beecolor. Nose is quiet flat( maybe cause of age) having some malts but lots of esters giving it a fruity nose and a hint of hoparome. Overal not 100% fresh though. Taste is quiet dull too having some malttaste, quiet sweet, alcoholic and then going into a moderate but litle hanging bitterness. Lots of carbonisation makes mouthfeel more lively and litle better then taste but one was enough for me. No bad beer though.

I split a bottle with my friend at De Hopduvel in Ghent.

Appearance: Served in a frosted glass, so I have no idea if this is clear or cloudy, my guess is lightly hazy. Golden in color with a white head that quickly fades to a sudsy film leaving patchy lace.

Smell: Sweet Belgian yeast fruitiness along with light pepper and light grain.

Taste: Sweet banana and berry fruitiness with a peppery finish.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium-bodied with moderate carbonation.

Drinkability: A little too sweet.

On-tap at the Paters Vaetje in Antwerp, Belgium...

A lightly hazy but bright yellow color with a thinnish white head. An earthy, yeastiness in the nose, a hint of herbal hops and some sweetish pale malt.

There is a fairly earthy quality to this blond ale but that's where the distinctiveness ends. Herbal hops but overall a quite sweet blond. Medium bodied with a sweetish aftertaste. Nothing earthshattering but it was an enjoyable and drinkable brew. Worth a shot if you can find it on draft.
