Review from old notes. This was on tap Jan 25th last year at the Lancaster location. The brew appears a clouded orange color with a creamy topping that has amazing retention.
The aroma is a little tropical with lemon and some wheat inclusion. Really no wild character or funkiness to the nose, this is very clean smelling. The taste is dry with a brett and almost cracker-like character or cobwebs. It is herbal with some fruit and bitter herbal hops rounding out the profile.
This is medium to light bodied, moderately carbonated and excessively dry but deep with flavor. While some might find this beer a disappointment due to its name and lack of sourness for a wild ale, I found it to be very nice - complex and super enjoyable for a brett beer. Something almost in the vein of a session style Orval but not as carbonated.
