A classic Belgian-style farmhouse ale; unfiltered, bright and light-bodied. The yeast gives an earthy, fruity and spicy character with a refreshing finish.

Pours a hazy bright golden yellow color with straw colored edges and a one finger white foam head that quickly settles into thin, lasting ring. Spotty lacing left behind.
Earthy, slightly spicy aroma with a decent amount of farmhouse funk and eserty light fruit notes. Peppery with earthy hops, fresh cut grass and funky barnyard saison character. Slightly musty with hints of apple, melon and citrus rounding out the nose.
Fuller end of medium body with a nice balance of peppery spice, sourdough bread, funky yeast, pale malt and light fruit. Peppery with some spicy coriander followed by grass, straw, hay and musty barnyard yeast character. Pale biscuit malt with light fruit sweetness, notably apple, pear and melon. Sweeter than expected and could use a touch more funk but this is an easy drinking, enjoyable beer.

2/13...champagne bottle picked up from Maple Shade. Pours cloudy hazy rusty yellow gold. Small head of white foam on top. Funky yeasty nose, citrus too. Bright floral lemon taste with a belgian like bitter back. Very clean. Damn good saison.

I will try to recall as I had this last night. Poured a very nice opaque light orange-brown hue much like any Belgian. About 1/2 inch head that hung around for quite a while. Smelled delightful, some light fruits like pear present. One of the better beers I have ever tasted. Like a typical Witbier with a peppery flavor and some grasses in the mix as well. Would be near perfect score but I am not the most fond of the bubblegum flavor that arises near the bottom of the glass in a Saison. Really phenomenal taste.
