On tap at the P-ville Mug Club release...
Appears a hazy, dark russet toned brown with a thin head of light suds that immediately fizzles out into a thin, sudsy collar. No lacing other than a few speckles which slowly slide back into the glass.
Smell is of vanilla, oak, obvious bourbon with notes of toffee, caramel, and cooked raisins standing out.
Taste is of the mentioned aromas with strong notes of bourbon minus the oak tannins found in oak aged beers that have been sitting for a few months.
Mouthfeel is full of alcoholic heat, vanillins, and rum soaked raisins drizzled with heated caramel. The beer falls slightly short of greatness with the lack of carbonation and a bit of a thin, watery finish. Overall, decent outing and a good one to turn into a bourbon aged brew. Slight tweaking with this will make it spectacular.

Edit 11/24/08: I had the pleasure of trying this beer again from a growler fill last night. It seemed like a different beer. Nice carbonation, creamy white head with retention, lacing, and a dry, bitey finish. I'm thinking there was something up with that first keg.

Changed the look from a 3 to a 4. The Mouthfeel and Drinkability also went from a 3.5 to a 4.
